Surprise!

A couple of years ago when I ran my first stamp club there were several women who I had met through my sister. I didn't really know them very well, but they were so excited about stamping and scrapbooking. We all sat around a table for their first club meeting and everyone was oohing and ahhing over each other's pictures. I had set out all of my supplies, did a quick demo, and then let them loose. I was working on something, and I realized they were all still looking at pictures. I asked how long they had been scrapbooking and they said, "Oh, about 45 minutes!" I didn't realize they had never scrapped before! They've come a LONG way since then!!!

We don't really scrap much together anymore, though we still see each other often. I even worked with them last summer for several weeks at their therapy center (I ran a program for 3-5 year olds with autism). They always have a brilliant excuse as to why they aren't making cards or scrapbooking much these days.

Well, I am sure that is about to change because one of those darling women just told me that she is pregnant (a big ol' surprise since she has a 10 year old and a 7 year old!). This card is for her - and I know she'll love it. And *I* can hardly wait to get together and stamp with them again for the new little sweetie!



This card also meets the specs for Sherrie's sketch for Taylor's challenge. It also makes #8 of 9 for me for the challenge! :) Almost there!!!
